Marked on Kitchin’s Map of 1754 as ‘Brisken Heleg, Williams, gent. From that family it passed to the Campbells of Stackpole Court, Pemhrokeshire.
Included in a terrier of John Campbell's estate in 1777 are the two farms of Briscen Helyg, described in an estate map book of 1795 as Briskenhelig Ucha (100 acres) and Briskenhelig Issa (122 acres) – two of the fields being Cae Marl and Cae dan dommen.
