This residence, which was built circa 1845, lies a short distance to the east of the parish church. 

An 1848 sale catalogue includes Dolegwad with garden and premises in occupation of the Revd. Eleazer Evans, vicar of Llanegwad – ‘This very neat residence which has been erected within the last four years at an outlay exceeding £800’. 

A sale catalogue of 1884 describes Dolegwad as a desirable residence on a slope overlooking the Vale of; Towy, in its own grounds, lawn, ornamental trees and shrubbery’s, carriage drive, partly walled garden, capital outbuildings, stables, coach-house, saddle room, granaries, cow houses, piggeries, hay house, etc., in occupation of Mrs Nicholl: the land once formed part of the Greenmeadow estate.

The title started with the will of the Revd. Thomas Beynon of Greenmeadow whose will and codicil dated 1810-11, were proved in 1834; the house contained drawing and dining rooms, breakfast parlour, kitchen, china closet, larder,  pantry, dairy, cellars, 3 bedrooms and 3 servants’ bedrooms, with demesne of seven acres.
