Trevor Fishlock visits Llanegwad

Next

In May 2006 the well-known writer and television presenter visited Llanegwad to record an episode of "Fishlock's Wildtracks" to be aired early in 2007.

There was a lot of rain in May, but luckily during the three days of filming the weather was fine.

The walk took place along the Towy valley from Whitemill (where a giant sturgeon was caught in 1932) to the restored mansion and gardens of Aberglasney and Grongar Hill, made famous by John Dyer the poet.

Also filmed were Holy Trinity and Llanegwad parish church, the site of Alltyferin mansion and Llangathan church,

The programme was shown on ITV1 on 16th January 2007 as part of a series of walks in Wales.

The photographs shown here were taken by Revd Philip Johnes during his time on location with the film crew.
