Oak House

Llanegwad Village

A notable house in Llanegwad village is Oak House, formerly a formerly Coffee House.

This was the home of the Lewis family and the house received the name "Coffee" when the church asked the Lewis family if they would be willing, on Sundays, to serve coffee in their front room for the ladies after church services.

The house was later occupied by a tailoring firm led by master tailor David Lewis, whilst at the same time serving as the village post office.

The house was once owned by musician and composer David Eric Hart until he sold it in the 1970s.

Oak House is located next to Llanegwad church.
