Old Carmarthen Farmers Shop, Nantgaredig, June 2002
The old Carmarthen Farmers shop at Nantgaredig crossroads served the community for many years. It finally closed in the mid 1990s and stood empty and decaying for several years.
A major renovation was undertaken in 2000 and the property was converted into a private residence.
Another view of the old village store and Carreglwyd (the stone building which was once the village Post Office) on the main Carmarthen - Llandeilo road. The road leading up the hill is the B4310 to Brechfa and Abergorlech.
